Private treatment with open communication
A useful first conversation
We ask about comfort, pressure and relevant health information first.
One-to-one attention
Your appointment is separate from the pace and format of group classes.
Pressure can be discussed
You can speak during treatment if an adjustment would feel better.
Discuss what your body needs before treatment
Massage gives you a private appointment away from the pace of a group class. Before treatment, we talk with you about muscular tension, areas of concern, pressure preferences and relevant health information. This conversation helps us understand your comfort and explain what the appointment may involve. We then focus the session on relaxation and physical wellbeing without promising a medical outcome. You can communicate during treatment if the pressure, position or temperature needs attention. If you're unsure about booking, ask what information we need and what clothing is appropriate for the planned treatment.

Use massage alone or alongside regular movement
You don't need to attend our classes to arrange massage therapy. It can work as a standalone wellbeing appointment when you want focused time to settle and address muscular tension. If you practise yoga, Pilates, barre or fitness, massage may also form part of how you look after your body around regular activity. We suggest leaving time to settle afterwards rather than rushing straight into the next commitment. Our qualified practice and one-to-one format keep the appointment distinct from the studio's group programme.
Frequently asked questions
What is discussed before massage treatment?
We ask about the areas you want to focus on, your pressure preferences, comfort and relevant health information. This helps us explain the appointment and identify anything that may affect whether or how treatment goes ahead.
Can pressure be changed during the massage?
Yes. We encourage clear communication about pressure, positioning and general comfort during the appointment. Speaking up doesn't interrupt the treatment. It helps us respond appropriately and keep the experience manageable.
Is massage only for people attending classes?
No. You can book massage as a standalone wellbeing service. It may also appeal if you take part in regular movement or fitness classes and want a separate, private appointment focused on relaxation and muscular tension.
