Build aerial skills one secure step at a time
Aerial trapeze brings a different kind of challenge to movement practice. We help you develop grip, coordination, body awareness and confidence through supported work above the floor. Early sessions focus on listening carefully, using equipment as instructed and learning controlled positions before linking movements together. The hands, upper body and core may work in unfamiliar ways, so you don't need to rush towards advanced skills. We break learning into manageable stages and give you time to understand how balance changes once you leave the floor. Progress comes from control and repeatable technique rather than forcing a difficult move.

Prepare for the demands of aerial movement
Wear close-fitting, comfortable clothing that covers the areas advised for equipment contact. Tie back long hair and remove or secure anything that could interfere with movement. We explain grip and equipment instructions during the lesson, and you should follow each stage before attempting the next. Your hands and upper body may tire earlier than expected at first, so sensible pacing matters. Our aerial trapeze certification and spacious, high-ceiling studio support a structured teaching environment where you can develop skills at an appropriate rate.
Frequently asked questions
What feels challenging in a first aerial lesson?
Your hands, upper body and core may work harder than expected because the movement is unfamiliar. We focus on secure grip, controlled positions and basic balance first, allowing you to pause rather than rush into linked skills.
What clothing is suitable for aerial trapeze?
Choose close-fitting, comfortable clothing and follow our guidance on coverage for equipment contact. Tie back long hair and avoid items that may catch or obstruct movement. We can explain preparation when you enquire.
How are more advanced movements introduced?
We use step-by-step progressions. You first practise the grip, position and control needed for a movement, then work towards balance and links when appropriate. Development depends on your technique, confidence and physical readiness.
